My Fear
Bright lights pierce and gouge my eyes
I scratch and suffocate within myself to find something for distraction
I can scarcely keep the words from being thrown up onto the floor
Death is always unreachable for me, but never those I love
Grief washes over me like a white wave
Crashes and numbs my vision
Blackens my heart and my mind
Disintegrates my hands
So feed me or starve me
Kick me or kill me
What can I care
Happen what may
It is too late
No muscle will tense
No expression will pass across these features
These teeth will not be gritted
No scream will leak out
It matters not what becomes of me
