My Fiction Hero

I Awake in memory Yet asleep in the world We built from the ground With our hands With our minds With our hearts Formed figures of dreams Compose a cast And in turn shaped our world Solidified it by our musing The frozen figures follow our paths While we trail Hopelessly hapless Desperate to shatter the surface II Falsified images of nostalgic bliss Memories unfolded Gaining strength with each layer The power of the pages Overshadows the frailty of the framework The shallow depths The dimensionless dreams Demanding to be designed Not simply observed III Shifting our shapes Our thoughts An extension of the living And appendage Empowered by our senseless devotion Our guiding motion Shadows of truth within our grasp Behind the curtain A purpose uncertain Who are the heroes?
