My Final Thoughts For You

Dear Ex,

You had me at hello

cliché I know

All it took was one simple look

and the butterflies in my stomach burst

you made me smile

you made me laugh

But I cried one too many times

Did you even care?

I’m guessing not

You didn’t even try

I would say I love you

but that's just a fallacy

How can I love someone who doesn’t love me

Our memories make me weak

But I’ve learned that what happened yesterday stays in the past

For in the future I will only remember the lonely night I dreamt of you

But I do thank you

I have learned to love myself

However, any boy like you is not a man if he needs multiple women to satisfy his empty soul

You're sad

Yet so heartless

One day you will feel what I felt

But you will remember that girl who loved you

and you will no longer be able to say I knew her

Because that girl is no longer there
