My Fire Will Not Cool
It's over.
I'm done.
Don't try to convince me.
I'm not going on anymore.
I'm so tired.
I need a break,
Or I will break.
It's too much.
A thousand tears are shed.
Everything is aching.
I just want to go to bed.
Everything just keeps taking.
I look up.
And there it is.
My precious cup
From which I must drink.
The tears begin to dry,
And I stand up again.
I feel ready to try
to achieve what I have yet to gain.
My peers may beat me.
My friends may doubt me.
They might hurt me.
They might abandon me.
But I will rise.
I will conquer all.
Won't that be a surprise?
I will not fall.
My passion is my fuel.
They will try to quell it,
But my fire will not cool.
They will see in a little bit.
I will travel so far
Off of that fiery passion.
I will hurdle over the bar.
No, my fire will not cool.
