My Firework

Beautiful sparks of bright fire
That are gone in an instant
A soft touch of desire
Yet a helpful, guiding hint

With a crackle and a boom
Claiming itself to the sky
It is brought to its sad doom
Without a simple goodbye

That little trail of smoke
Gives us a little hope
Burning us 'til we're broke
Without reason to cope

Although it is invisible
It will forever be with me
Even if the dark sky is dull
It will always help me foresee

Fade away into the night
Along with my broken frown
It was once so very bright
Even when plummeting down
