To My First Love

Dear my first love,

Everytime we lock eyes,

I fall in love all over again.

Your smile, my eternal demise,

Your laugh, a trusted friend.

A simple touch of the hand

shakes me to my core.

But I do understand

I am not who you care for.

My love goes unrequited.

Our love can not be.

Though I am so delighted,

you've shared this time with me.

I leave to you this poem as my confession.

To hide my identity is my discretion.

Love, your Secret Admirer.
