My First Love

He's got a laugh

and it's pretty

like im listening to the voice of a city

he's got a smile

and it's bold

like the sun has covered me whole

he's got a charm

and it gleams

glittering dimly in my dreams.

He's got a touch

and it's warm

like the summer heat

after a storm.

He's got a truth that defies

and a face that transforms.
