My First Love (Letter)

I've never written a love letter before

I'm not really sure how they go

Am I supposed to talk about your eyes, your lips,

Or how our hands fit together perfectly

Should I mention the way you sweep my hair behind my ear

Or how it feels to hold you

But I can also mention the smell of cigarettes that linger on your clothes,

The mysterious bloody nose

The destitute look in your eyes

And where are yous answered with lies

They say a perfect relationship can't exist, but ours does

It isn't perfect, but I can look past the cracks on the surface

This might be your first thought when you hear love

But I've never written a love letter before

And I've never before been in love
