My first period
I think I was about 8 years old,
When I thought I got red paint in pants,
It wasn’t paint,
I didn’t know that.
How could I have known that?
Being a child makes you so naive,
But I grew too fast,
I lost my purity before I even hit puberty.
All because of you,
It was all because of you,
I would’ve grown at the right time,
But instead you scrapped out my insides,
Before I even turned 9.
You are evil,
So, so, evil.
I didn’t lose my purity the way I wanted,
You took it from me,
And messed up my body,
And gave me my first period when I was still a child.
I can’t even look in the mirror sometimes,
Thinking of all you’ve done to my body.
It feels so wrong to be in my own flesh too,
Because your hands still linger,
Even though it was so long ago,
I still feel triggered.
You ruined me,
To the point I can’t be renewed.
Like a shattered piece of glass,
That you use tape to fix.
Broken, forever.
