My Flower

This is beauty.

The stars in your eyes study me,

soft pink rose pedals lay gently blanketing either side of your grin.

Crimson skys and a salty sea breeze surround you,

I wonder if you would let me in.

This is new.

I back away from the glass between us.

I open an untouched door.

The once orange sky is now a royal shade,

one I'd never seen before.

This is love.
