My friend

Dancing is like gracefully dying
with a schedule without end
There’s a lot you won’t comprehend
There’s a lot you can't control
There’s a lot of stuff
that will take a toll

All of the
Reverse its
swearing you’ll fix its
hip popping
feet stomping

Dancing hurts
but helps when you’re hurt
The pretty painful pink
pointe shoes
all covered in dirt and rosin

Bruised toe nails
blisters and blisters
though often
through my love the pain softens.
