My friend named Failure

Oh failure

Everyone hates you

Or they are scared of you

But no one gives you the gratitude you deserve

You look big and nasty

And have a funny way of showing me

How to learn

And how to grow

You will stab me countless times

Then ask What are you gonna do about me?

Are you going to fight me or let me win?

Your pain is overbearing

And shoots through my body

But you are not fatal

And makes me not afraid of you.

You may twist my wrist

Or break my ankles

Or kick me until I bleed

But I will always fight

My friend, Failure

This time I will win

So I thank your pain, your tears, and your presences

Because to get to my best friend, Success

I must have you
