MY FUTURE BRIDE

You wake up to a home cooked meal and a man by your side

Taking this one way ride down the road of life

And despite the obstacles we face, through better or worse, for rich or for poor like husband and wife

I do plan to make you my future bride

And I Cherish that beautiful smile I see every blue moon

Your self-esteem is low however slowly but surely will rise up soon

My hearts pounding, alarms sounding, yelling MAKE YOUR MOVE

But Confidence I struggle with and words I stubble with

In my eyes you’re Cinderella and I’m the spectator in the background not knowing the glass sleeper ever existed

That door closed, I called up the locksmith

Asking for another opportunity

I plans for our future baby but confessing them are scrutiny

So God blessed me with a window

And I see you stare out it on that rainy day

Hoping someone will come and rescue you away and take you to a place

Where there are no dark clouds and sorrow

No sleeping your days away while praying for a better tomorrow

Yes I am your super man and I am here to save the day, yet I’m flying on faith

You’re my future bride but you just don’t know it

They say actions speak louder than words and I’m waiting on the right time to show it

But every time I come near you I start gasping for air

You fell in love with the poems that I slip through your locker but never knew that I wrote it

So I tried to treat you like a friend and have good convos

But you’re a princess and deserve more than Mickey D’s super-sized combos

My heart say make your move, my mind say that’s a no go

I listen to my heart cuz it’s on the right track

I took pride in the fact that I was doing just that But had problems finding the nearest railroad

So let’s go back

To fantasizing bout a big house and Kids

Because real life is hard as it is

I like dreaming bout Range Rovers and Benz

And waking up early Sunday mornings to thank god for cleaning my sins

So I wake up the next morning, my vibes all cool

I’m having sweet dreams on the bus ride to school

It dawned on me then I gotta make my move

So I walk up to you, you’re sitting at a table

But the way you acknowledged my presences so happily I froze

My t.v was on but I forgot to connect my cables

So let’s fast forward After I tell you how I feel

When I can finally say our relationship is real

Now you got me thinking bout Sunshine and rainbows

Bright smiles and outer glows

And your soft lips that kiss my inner soul

And Yes I do know, you’re my future bride

And the next meal I prepare is going to have a box next to it and a ring on the inside

Cuz I’m glad to say that you’re mind
