To My Future Mrs. Chapman
To My Future Mrs. Chapman Poem by D’Vante Jerrell Chapman
To my future Mrs. Chapman,
I promise to ask how are you, how is and was your day, say good morning, say good night, kiss your scars and make them fade away, everyday
I see silhouettes of our perfect life together
Time without hours and days because our love will last for infinity
Sweep away the trash, pick it up, and dump it
Empty the baggage
Then lift you up in my arms and hold you down for a lifetime
Baby unwind
You’re safe in my future
I’ll never leave you lonely, nor will I leave you to question your worth
I respect you
Divorce isn’t an option, cheating isn't an option
Only a faithful commitment
With a spiritual connection
That takes us to Heaven, and then back down to earth
And sweetheart I’ll take care of your heart with sweet and pure intentions
I’m sorry I failed to mention
These aren’t just a gentleman’s confessions
These are your future husband’s marriage vows
I love you today, tomorrow, and always, your future husband,
Mr. Chapman
