My Gateway to Heaven

Poetry is my sunshine

My gateway to heaven

I couldn't go a day without it

Not ever cooncerned about if it rhymes

My poetry speaks values

It gives me a sense of importance

Like I never have to wait

Or care about someone else's point of view

Roses are red Violets are blue

I can't imagine my life without poetry

Sitting at home all day contemplating about what to do next

I'd probably lay in bed all day with homework overdue

But I have othing to worry about

Because if poetry didn't exist

Never heard of or seen

I'd be the one to create poetry and wake up every teen

Poetry is my life

Poetry is my passion

It's my gateway to heaven

It's neither a question or doubt
