my generation

i find no value in my name, just my senses and my dreams

i am from deadends and beginnings and the lessons in between

i am confused when certain, lost when found

i don't need something to tell me where ive been or where im bound

i am the colors in your mind, i am not just black or white

i dont know the definitions to word wrong or the word right

i can transcend myself on good days and on bad

i dont dwell upon the notions of what one's got and what one had

ive learned that treasure can be found by those who do not search

im an individualist in a crowd, both labeled and unclaimed

i am lost as i am guided by those who are lost and those who are blamed

im the needle in a compass that points neither west nor east

i have seen the conscriptions of the armies of war and i know to them treason is peace

i need naught but this path and the unknown destination

if i need something to look forward to, i use my imagination
