my generation

My generation we need to talk, whats the problem are we lost or just confused? Boys got their pants below their knees, can you explain to me what that means? Girls got babies with no diamonds on their hand, Jesus told me to tell you "his love for you is greater than any pleasure found in a man", boys want worldy things to make them smile, but all wordly things fade after awhile, God holds the riches in the palm of his hand, just put your life in God's hands. Girls wear make up to cover up the pain, but how is giving your bodies away going to do anything? My generation we need to talk, the world is looking up to us, what are we going to do? Theres a problem in this world, this world is desperate for a change, but will that change start with you? God said any dream you may have believe and it shall come true!!

tete

I am 21 years old, am attending Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN in September with a major in creative writing, I have been writing poetry since I was nine, and began shortly after the death of my foster dad in 2002, and been writing ever since. this scholarship would mean a lot to me because I live with my foster mom who can't send me through school on the social security income she receives. This has been my biggest dream to be the first in my family to go to college without dropping out and graduate with a degree.
