My Gift

My eyes are glowing

I awaken to the richness of life

Each morning beauty surrounds me

God blesses me with His gift.

I pray that you also have this gift

It may lie right next to you

It may be an arm’s length away

It is always God’s gift to you

I open my eyes and heart

Allow my gift to flow in

Allow my gift to flow out

To share the love of my special gift.

I am a retired high school and college professor. The last 10 years of my teaching was as a college professor of literature and writing. I have self-published one book of prayers and meditations and am preparing another book of poetic odes to faith and love. I am truly honored to be welcomed into this group.
