My Girl

Dear Presley,

Brown hair so light and thin

Tan with angelic skin

Until one night it took your light

It gave us such a fright

Yet you took it as a win

It took my heart and my soul

But you know how that story goes

To never see you jump or roll

And never pinch your little nose

God touched you with his hands

Watching over you in his plans

But time is a rushing river

Tick-tock and your time stopped

Time precious like a diamond

You were as pretty as the sun

I can almost taste your skin

As the last time I kissed you

In the casket you are laid

And in the ground you will lay

Until you gets to your forever home

Where God has made a place to stay.

I love you,

Savannah
