My Glass Castle

A life full of trials and tribulations masked with a facade of happiness

Enduring the pain and pretending its okay

That's my life...

Creating a support system in my siblings due to the fact that my parents seem to present in the world, but somehow absent in mine

Occupied with dreams of their own... so much for parents

Living in a house, but not a home

My life is a movie so I hope you enjoy it

A drama-filled thriller with more lows than highs

Paving the path to my Glass Castle

and a vagabond some may call me

Lacking the stability to emotionally invest in long term relationships

So i make the friends that I can and then we pick up and move again...

I desire order

Something that my family lacks

My life is a war, my heart is under attack

It seems to be me versus the world...

Sprawled under the night sky gazing at the stars

Pondering my existsence and what I'm really here for

Dreams of one day eluding the bondage created by my environment...

The city...the people...

I need to get away

I'm going to get away

And get to my Glass Castle

My Glass Castlee

A representation of everything I long for

Nice cars, a good life, pretty trees and a sky

Dreams that one day I too could fly

First class...or in a private jet even

For the acclaim and the crown a young boy is feigning

But witth a crash and a bang the crown disintegrates back to the earth from which it came

And there's more to me than the eye can see

7 billion in the world and no one shines like me

Hoping to break free and see a brighter day

Calm, cool, and collected i remain

Surrounded by people but I still feel alone

Alive but not living, for I live for others...or so it seems

Masking my dreams for the satisfaction of my mother

Who is too consumed to be bothered with another

My Glass Castle

Out of sight and out of mind

For it seems I am in route to a castle that is not mine

So who is it for?

Is this me and who I want to be?

I write down every little thing that I see

Study everything about you all, call me Capote

What's my motif?

My Glass Castle
