My Glass Heart

Love i hope you know you've raised the bar,

Shown me a love that i havent known thus far.

Touched my heart and kissed every scar,

I didn't know that I could fall this hard.

Love I hope you know that i am scared,

For I am broken and completely ill prepared.

Thought that I had overcome my past,

But my heart is still made up of annealed glass.

Love I hope you know you are my world,

You reached inside and put a spark inside my soul.

I only hope you know how much I adore you,

In your arms I found a safe place to run to.

Love you look at me with eyes so deep,

And  speak your every word with such sincerity.

I try to hide my disbelief,

That these are words of love that you could mean.

Love I wrap you in my arms so you don't see,

My troubled face that I don't want you to read.

I'm the grenade sitting in your hand,

Clips been removed by another man.

Love in your presence I feel at ease,

Makes me forget about the moments in between.

When I pray you'll stay but know you'll leave,

Take my glass heart and leave your memory.

Take my glass heart and leave your memory.
