This is My Glow Up

Sense a young age ive been in the dark

constantly running but not actually going anywhere

Not really living nor surviving

just existing oh how life can be so unfair

I put aside my feelings, my dreams

and my self value so that you may shine

But as the sun peeks into the corner of my mirror

I see a glow laid upon my skin something new and foreign

maybe this is the day when I'll be just fine
