My God

God is my fortress, my rock His love for me is a shock Who loves the broken and tattered When all I have to offer is tattered? He is perfect, not tainted with sin Yet He looks at me and calls me His kin I live to serve Him each day By helping others to follow His ways To explain the Bible and teach them to pray And just like me they are blown away By the magnitude of His mercy and grace And in our hearts He finds a place To mold us into His masterpiece Although we deserving it in the very least. Without my God I would still be lost Had he not paid the ultimate cost!
