My God
God, there are some things in life that I just can’t bear
I look for you but you’re just not there.
I need you to listen, I need your help.
Every day I hurt inside, I can’t seem to help myself.
What is it now my child? Haven’t you learned?
You have control of your joy but you choose to mourn.
I mean I try, but my mind, it plays tricks on me.
One minute it’s happy thoughts, and then my faith slips
And it becomes hard to believe.
It’s hard god to see the sunshine through the rain.
I want so very hard for my life to change.
Claudette, you must know I have been all your life.
At the age of eight, you looked to the heavens,
And saw my eyes in the blue sky.
Just let go my child; let me guide your path.
I could give you the best life has.
See your peace isn’t there because you have no peace within yourself.
Then you question me because you’re blind and don’t see my help.
I sent the old lady from church to talk to you about me.
I directed the words from the preacher’s mouth
Just accept and believe.
All those lonely nights in Ca. living the way you lived;
Who protected you from death?
Yes! Claudette you know I did.
See you are my child. My warrior
One day you will do great things.
Just take a deep breath focus on me and watch the change.
You live with regret for your past mistakes.
Just live for today, I’ll show you the way in each step you make.
Oh! God, I love you. Just this talk with you makes me feel relieved.
I could do wonders in your heart, mind and soul if you just believe.
I’ll try lord, please be patient with me.
No, Claudette, don’t try.
Practice very hard and believe.
