My God
Growing up as a child, I was told about You.
Was told You were great and made miracles come true.
Called out for You for mercy as obstacles came over me.
Upset for "unanswered" prayers as I use blasphemy.
Yet I still called out for You when I was down and out.
Then is when I started learning of what You were all about.
You never left me and carried me along the way.
My faith grew stronger in You before I was left astray.
I never given up hope in You because you didn't lose Yours in me.
Now my life is beautiful and words can't express my glee.
Grateful for all You have given and blessed me with.
I know You are real and nothing close at all to a myth.
To some this may sound very odd
But you are my Lord, my Savior, my God.
