My Good-By To You

(poems go here) The way I feel about you Saying good-bye will never be permanent Saying good-bye doesn’t mean you won’t hear from me again Saying good-bye doesn’t mean I won’t send you flowers to your address just because it’s Thursday Saying good-bye doesn’t mean I won’t message you Or pop up on birthday just because I know it’s that special day Looking back Looking back at the times we fought in class Looking back at all the times I’ve made you blush or you made me laugh looking back at the time were both of our eyes were caught in a gaze, thinking about our future days Looking back at the time I first saw you and thought to myself “she’s insane” Looking back at the first time I realized your mind was just as deep as your name Thinking to myself Thinking to myself is she the right one Thinking to myself should I go with the girl that can have the most fun? Or should I choose the one who’s the most intellectually intelligent The one that’s quiet and wants to be celibate Thinking to myself how easy my decision was choosing you over all the other girls Thinking to myself I’d rather have you than any other girl in the world! This is what it will mean for me to say good-bye to you And I want you to know every word I said was true If you think about it, who’s going to treat you better than me? When you come up with someone bring them forth and let me see You’re more than beautiful Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, Your more than beautiful, don’t let anyone tell you lies, lower your self-esteem or interfere with your pride I promise you, you’re more than beautiful That’s how I want to end this and say Good-Bye
