my goodbye


i still sit around waiting for the day that you reach out. 

even if it’s as simple as an update about your dog or your sister. 

but if that day never comes 

i wish you nothing but the very best 

and i hope that in another life,

in another universe, 

in another timeline, 

we are together, just like before.
