This is My Grind

Sometimes I feel like a child hindered by my imagination Things moving through my head like in a busied train station and every once in a while I will say something to drop jaws I get heated and wrapped in my own conflagration, worrying and the success of my peers should keep me from over-analyzing my flaws but it doesn't, sometimes I wish I could run hide and forget my destination yet, knowing I can get there with some determination I rise to the occasion, and look past it And you get mad because I throw curses like Shakespeare but rhyme like Doctor Suess and I shouldn't have to live in fear of missing my cues while you sit there and make an excuse cause, I spit words that sometimes confuse and I bust my ass while striving towards the muse cause to me daily grind only means Get ready it's a brand new day, that metaphor for life metamorphosising me changing me into a something shiny and new and sometimes I feel like I was raised by machines wonderin if robots dream of electric sheep they use words that belittle and demean and they still wonder why I'm too afraid to sleep but they weren't there during the scary scenes and they don't care just throwing me to the junk heap I just want to know how to survive and, when an adult should account for their actions I find myself struggling These are things I should have been taught and instead I am just stuck schedule juggling seemingly torn by two factions all while being distracted by all their stimulants and attractions and I look at how much I have fought trying to avoid infractions encountered by my inexperience I realize, I'm no longer afraid of what they think deeper I sink into wishing I knew how to say so and if it weren't for the people and the experiences I'd still probably be that person from years ago
