My Guide.

To some you might just be a man in the sky,

But, to me you are the most high,

And not in some superficial sense,

You are the supernatural in my life,

You are always there to lead my path,

By the gentle guidance of your staff,

And while some may not be able to see you physically,

I see you in my everyday life, always looking over me,

Even after my negative tendencies,

You always saw the best in me,

I can't live in a world without you,

For a world without you is a world without hope,

Without you I would be lost like a lamb without a shepherd,

Treading close to the fire choking on the smoke,

But when I'm in the thick of things at rock bottom of the hole,

You throw down your rope to lift me up and add joyfulness to my soul.
