My Guitar
My time began with beautiful sounds,
As I grew to understand that life has it's bounds,
Still the sweet reverie of the strings set my bar
I lift to lofty heights behind the wood of my guitar
She sways, she bends, it flows to my ear.
She teaches, she feeds, she counsels year by year
Her body is nubile, her neck is silky.
Her frets are laughter, her lyric is milky
The love of my life, at least thus far.
The music I share, with my guitar
