My Half

  "Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful or rude
It does not demand it's own way.
It is not irritable, and it keeps no account of being wronged
It does not rejoice about any injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Now don't misunderstand me, this wasn't love
I was simply another name on your list
That fell for your lies dressed in pretty words
  And you were right;
I shouldn't have been one of them

I've spent too many days fighting and
  Too many nights crying
  Over actions like yours

By kids who never stop to think how this may effect
  Someone
                    But there's the key

You don't see people as people
To you they're objects put in place to take advantage of

And it's almost laughable that you'd think you've "destroyed" me, as if I'd give you that type of power
That in the midst of all of this you care more about my opinion of you rather than the fact that:

  I'm to the point of
  Biting back bile
  Holding back tears
That this could have easily sent me over the edge
That I could have relapsed; and my skin would have been torn to shreds

Don't let me catch you off guard with my honesty
I know you're not used to it but
I'm not the actor you are
  And I won't lie when I say

If you needed someone, I'd be there
I'd be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a hand to pull back up because

  "Love never gives up,
  Never loses faith,
  Is always hopeful,
  And endures through every circumstance."

  Now this wasn't love but
Part of me wants you to know I forgave you
  And the other part
Hopes you see everything you lost out on.
