My Heart is a Vase

My heart is a vase

Cracking from the ends

Fallen on my bedroom floor

Now shattered

Its roses lay scattered

Wilting

Drowning

My heart is a vase

Holding on to roses whose thorns never seized to grow

Piercing its love with every tip

My heart is a vase

Oh what a disgrace it is to pick up its pieces

Cause no matter how hard you press the pieces back together

The water will always seep through

Leaving dry, lifeless roses inside
