My Hero

(poems go here) My hero wore combat boots and cammies... He spent 7 months in Iraq and didn’t once complain. My hero missed my graduation from high school but he gave me the best advice in a letter. To always follow my heart and do what I wanted. That I could anything that I set my mind to. My hero lived life to the fullest and never ...said no to anything. He did whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. My hero served our country without thinking twice. He left for Afghanistan and fought long and hard until the end. My hero is my big brother. Miss you every day and wish you were here but know he is always with me. My hero is a United States Marine. My hero is LCpl Ivan I. Wilson. I will do you proud with no doubt in my mind! I love you and miss you, my hero. He served among men just like him. He never gave up or walked away. He continued to fight for what he believed in. My hero was always there to help his brothers in arms and family if they needed him. He was loved... He is loved... My hero spend nights in the middle of nowhere and put his life on the line. Sand, dirt, mud, anything and everything...became his home. Serving our great nation. My hero is an American hero one who will never be forgotten by those who knew him. Rest in peace, big brother. And remember you are still my hero.
