My hero
Dear Grandpa,
I know you're probably looking down at me and I don't know what you'd say,
Whether I've made many mistakes or made you proud.
Throughout the years I've missed you every single day,
Just wanting to hear your voice aloud.
I miss the days where you would come over and watch the bears game,
Even though they might have lost you were still their biggest fan.
I still hear stories about what you overcame,
From a young boy to an old man.
There was never a time where I didn't look up to you,
Because you were a hero in my eyes.
You have taught me many things to do,
Since you were very wise.
You always said, "Sticks and stones may break your bones but words may never hurt you"
Which is something I have carried with me from the very beginning.
Without you I wouldn't be the person I am today,
That's why I'll keep your lessons every step of the way to keep your legacy from decaying.
I love you Grandpa.
Sincerely,
Your grandson Tristan
