To My Hero

To My Veteran that's been home when I ask what's on his mind I know his brothers aren't far behind for I don't know everything he's been through all I know is when I look  in his eyes I can see the truth unmasking in disguise all though not everything is the same as it once was ,he fought for our freedom and in some ways still does . He takes pride in his work serious and in everything he does ,not a day goes by that he don't inside cry, but he keeps his head held high deals with anything that comes his way,  always stands ready for if they called for war our hero will stand proud at our door ,always protects us and keeps us safe thank you to our hero that don't need a cape !
