My Hidden Truth

I am a wreck

To forever wonder this world

Wondering

Am I, or will I ever be,

smart enough

strong enough

fast enough

good enough

I am a wreck

I worry too much

and think to little

I try to face this

dark world alone

because I don't want

To burden my friends

with MY problems

I am a wreck

I have lived in

what seems like

a prison

surrounded by water

for my entire life

only recently to be freed

and feel the world harsh slap

I am a wreck

and a small part of me

always will be.

I am not ready for the

Outside world.

because I am ill-

equipped to face this world

and still walk alone

I am a wreck

but it's not that bad.

I was raised this way

so it is all I know

but quickly transitioned

to face the world

and still never ready

I am a wreck

with a heart of stone

and tears of steam

I live surrounded by

by people but

I still walk alone

So now and forever

I am a wreck
