My Hobby

One more rep, one more exhale

This time I'll push harder, I'll tip the scale

The drumbeat only pushes me further

Screaming for me to clear this hurdle

Just me and this machine

Only pain in between

Beads of sweat dripping down my face

But victory has the sweetest taste

This is what I love, what I sincerely enjoy

Others think it's the looks and insecurity

That's only a small slice of the pie, I may be coy

But lifting means so much more to me
