In My Home
In my home,
I was constantly paralyzed with fear
I couldn't face him when he waited in his bedroom.
He used his hand like it was a skilled paint brush.
Destroying my innocence, breaking my trust.
I lay crying at night until I left.
Now I am in a safe place without my dad,
He is locked in by his own guilt.
For once I feel safe
