My Home

Location

The sea shimmers like sunlight on chrome

Loud crashing waves and soft silky sand are my living room

The beach is the place I call home

My home is unlike the old empire of Rome

It will not face any impending doom

The sea shimmers like sunlight on chrome

My home never becomes as dark as ancient catacombs

It is never known for its deepening gloom

The beach is the place I call home

Sometimes my beautiful beach is on loan

For the bride and the groom

The sea shimmers like sunlight on chrome

The wildlife is always free to roam

The dull green weeds on the sand dune constantly bloom

The beach is the place I call home

At my house, the colorful sea shells serve as my solid stepping stones

Every July I can see over my home, the loud and vibrant fireworks go boom

The sea shimmers like sunlight on chrome

The beach is the place I call home
