My Home

My home I return to time after time;

At the end of every journey I make,

It is to this cleft in the rock I climb,

Where tended to are my needs and my aches.

When I am home, my heart feels more at peace;

Smiling, laughing, I can imagine not

A place where my concerns would more decrease;

For my home I thank God in every thought.

Yes, so blessed am I with my home, my love;

My love protects me and gives me his care;

My love from harm keeps me safely above;

My love never leaves; he is always there.

From his comfort and love I will not roam;

When I am with him, I know I am home.
