My home was lost, but together it can be found
Sitting here all alone, staring at the single flame.
Feeling the darkness surrounding me, hearing it call my blame.
What did I do to make you leave me here alone?
Why did you hide your pain when your I could have helped seen?
I want to go home but I know it's no longer there.
My home was lost the day you took your life without a care.
Now as I sit here next to your grave, my tears mingle with the rain.
I wrap my arms around me, feeling each break of my heart from the pain.
Staring at your name in stone, I know your war with pain was won.
But as I walk away, I can feel my War has just begun.
Everyday the only thing people see is a smile, keeping up the facade of being strong.
But if they pull away the mask and look behind, they'd see that they're wrong.
They'd see all the questions, my pain, my shame and my guilt ask everyday.
But my heart and my soul only have one question, "how much more do we pay?"
How can I keep going without you, the missing part of me that completes the whole?
How can I fill that emptiness within me; the place that bonded our souls?
As time keeps moving on, I believed I've never again feel.
Then one day I found others who know my pain, I'm together find ways to heal.
Now we come together to remember, support one another and help each other grieve.
And without realizing it was happening; my pain, my shame and even my guilt begin to leave.
Slowly with help and time, the wounds from your passing begin to mend.
Sitting here talking about my life, my memories, and my new friends that helped me release.
I realize I can still feel that Bond, that love we shared, my heart and soul find peace.
Finishing our talk, I tell you goodbye for now and turn to leave your grave.
I look up, see you there, hear you whisper "I love you" and goodbye we wave.
Finally I can come home, knowing you're still with me even though your body is gone.
I know that we'll be together again one day because the love we shared still lives on.
