My Hope is Mine

When I’m surrounded by an eternal blue
with no way to sail across,
I hope that from my point of view
Hope is not my loss.

My phone is something I’ll do without
Friends will survive without a call
I simply wish my heart remains devout
when I am left with nothing, not one thing at all.

For with hope, I can find my power,
My strength to look ahead
And with this, on my weakest hour,
Let it be known that I’ll have said,

“Let the bells chime—
for my Hope is still mine.”
