my house is not a home

My house is not a home.

My home is not a house.

That place is what I call it.

Cause all I hear is shouts.

All I hear is shut the fuck up and just get out.

Those words on constant repeat like an annoying song that just won’t get out.

So I sit and ponder with my music on blast bumping that

ex factor as it plays live inside my house.

My bad I mean that place.

That place that doesn't understand the definition of chill cause all it knows is hell

even though it’s been two years.

And that last place lasted for three years before those shouts became too much

and it burned down with no one to hear.

But I heard it, and they heard it and maybe the little one heard it too.

But those shouts became ignored after one too many to count.

When will they understand that enough is enough.

That when they fight we fight.

I'm fighting to make sure they don't let it get to them.

While they fight trying to understand why they're mom is with this asshole of a man.

Why don't you just leave mom.

Why don't we just leave mom.

You deserve better than this belittling and name calling.

I mean I'm sick of it.

Ain't you sick of it too.

Damn this might sound corny but yo ass need to catch the flu.

Not the 24hr kind but that week-long flu.

The one you start to get sick of.

The one you pray for to end.

That week-long flu that you just can't wait to be done with.

Cause that 24hr flu don't do shit, it just has you coming back in the end.
