My Identity

Without my name I am an unknown entity

Wandering alone, accidentally

For I did not want to be stuck on this island

Now all I have is my name, brought to my parents from my descendants in Ireland

The first gift I have ever received

Given to me nine months after I was conceived

A name is all one really has in life

It outlasts the greatest pleasures...cars, money, a housewife

I don't need my favorite book or my mp3

All I need is my identity
