My identity

What are you?

I really wanna know

I have all these theories but no evidence to show

For it, it's strange really

You look like your white but there's something different

Clearly, there's another side to the story that lim missing

Oh you're African?

How can that be the case?

That doesn't mean your black

Skin color is the true definition of race.

Oh I see, you meant South Africa.

Really, your from the east?

You must have been born in America

The truths been released

That must be the reason,

The sunlight didn't kiss your face

What do you mean you were born in Kenya?

That still doesn't mean your black

skin color is the true definition of race.

Oh your parents must be white

I completely understand

What do you mean your parents are dark skinned?

Is this deception something you planned?

Oh I get it you're adopted, I finally figure it out

What do you mean I'm wrong?

It doesn't make sense,

if those are your real parents, why is your hair so blond?

What does it mean to be albino

I've never heard that before

I only know of the albino eel,

slithering across the ocean floor

Okay now your telling me you're a mutation

Oh You've gotta be joking

The only mutants I know are turtles

My trust is damn near broken

WELL!!!!!

My lack of melanin doesn't define me

But I am a african queen

Just because it doesn't show in the pigment of my skin

Doesn't mean there's no relation to my black kin

I am proud to be an albino ,kenyan ,Somali, east African, American

All the labels that are used to define me

I am happy with who I am ,and that is my identity
