My Imagination
My imagination
wild and crazy
scampers through my mind in endless loops
crowding out the busy sounds of city life
and the voices, oh so many voices around
My imagination
soundless and unnerving
creeps up on me
It drags me from the noises of the outside
and forces me to listen to just them
My imagination
calming and tranquil
brings me back from
sadness and anger
regret and pity
They bring me to a nice place
filled with the things
I could hope for and maybe never have
Things that bring a warm bursting feeling
to my aching chest
My imagination
distracts me from the outside
and creates worlds
so different from each other
and they are all my own
My imagination
My life that I could
never live without
