My independence
I hold these truths to be self-evident,
that no matter how many say I can’t survive,
I refuse to lay down and die.
I hold these truths to be self-evident,
that no one sees me cry.
I refuse to lay down and die.
No matter the struggle,
No matter the pain,
No matter the trouble,
No matter the acidity of the rain,
I stand up and fight.
I fight for my rights.
My rights to sanity,
My rights to clarity,
My rights to live,
And my rights to love.
And when I fall apart,
I get back up again and start.
I start a life in a world I hate
Because pain and strife has become its paint.
So I stand up, not just for myself,
But for those this world has painted itself.
My career is based on help.
My passion is to nurture.
Because this Hell
Can’t be endured by everyone much longer.
I Hold These Truths To Be Self-Evident,
that I don’t back down, I never give up.
I Hold These Truths To Be Self-Evident,
that I’m not a confused pup.
I Hold These Truths To Be Self-Evident,
that I am strong and caring.
I Hold This Truth To Be Self-Evident,
I’m independent, fighting, and surviving.
