My Inevitable Social Death

My failure is inevitable In everything that is social It seems to me I'm horrible My stories are told I'm either too quiet or I'm a child I'm a mother when you need me and a kid when I cry Sometimes I don't know why I even try Time after time I'll never be their equal or their number one I'll never hold any sway when the fun is done I can't help but feel stupidly dumb It burns like the sun Why don't I ever get the effort that I put in? I let my empty phone screen faintly dim I get ignored in my dress with the gold lace trim This has to be a sin It hurts even worse cause I used to be good It used to take no effort to command a room Now I'm a loud ugly freak and I speak out of tune Or I sit quietly and accept my doom Far too soon
