MY INNER SELF

Sometimes I am happy

But often times I am sad.

Sometimes I dream of having a good life

But often times I dream of how to achieve that dream.

Sometimes I surrender in life

But often times I say to myself no

retreat.

Sometimes I don’t care about friends

But often times I feel the pinch of being alone.

Sometimes a small trigger ignites my past hurt

But often times I just activate an avoidance mode.

Sometimes I sweep my anger under the rag

But often times I explode to lighten my the weight of heart.

Sometimes I am tempted to lie

But often times I speak the truth.
