To My Insecurities

Shoot your hateful words into the air,

let the bullets ran on me.

Graze and impale my fragile body and reopen the wounds.

Fault me for a crime that I had no part in,

but sentence me for a lifetime.

Hang me from my neck,

and let me dangle there as you still beat me,

waiting for an answer to your rhetorical question.

Throw me like a rag doll against the wall until you are tired of me,

but you will always come back for another beating.

That's what always happens,

for you can never part with old toys.
